Hey All!

This is quite a sad experience with VS.NET. Yesterday I worked 3 hours on the design of a page. Now I added some functions to the page, build some modules, etc. Now, when I opened the page again, to click a button to add a sub to that button, the page was blank.

.......................[ Check undo ]..................[ Undo is blank ].......CryAngryDeadSleepyConfusedAngry..

So now I've totally had it with MS and VS.NET, unless there's some way of seeing what it actually did. It was just gone in a sec.

Is there somesort of VS.NET recycle bin? Please let there be something

I think this is a major thing for a lot of programs... undos don't survive saving or closing. Really a necessary thing now for heavy duty applications like VS.NET.

I think Sound Forge lets undos survive now. But that's not really relevant here...

I've got my design back, by just simply checking my tempory internet files. Thank god for that, although that was the client output, so I still have alot to do..

while i've never actually set it up before (that'll change a week from tommorow when i start my new job), here's a thread i started in which a fellow coder gave me some links to read up on it.....

i have had to use Source Safe at my current and last jobs and it is at times an absolute life saver !!

Just one little thing:  It doesn't look like a new Microsoft product, from 2003, but like the things included in V6 (VB6.0 that is), while Office 2003 and VS.NET 2003 look quite nice.

Is not new but what I love about VSS is that you can add other stuff like Application designs etc. I think it's a great addition to VS

VSS gives a warning when you add a web project to it, heed this warning. I didn't and I had to create a new project to update the site again.
