Seems any user with a [ as the first letter of their user name is having a [; put in automaticaly when they try to log in. i thought it was my password being incorrect but it turns out it is putting a semi colon after a bracket all by itself.

going from 7.5 to 7.51a

overwrote all files and replaced the database. using access 2002version on iis5.1

any help would be great.

Thanks.

i also had to add another acount to this forum because it is doing the same thing here.

username:[EvOL]Slayer

it will not let me log on with that name because it is putting ; after [ when i hit login

so any user in this forum with the [ as the first letter will never get in.

Secuity need to be tightened up due to some hackers finding hole, so anyone with [ anywhere in there username will loose there old account when upgrading.

I have run in to the same problem recently... I have the mod installed allowing me to alter the username to correct the problem.

Could you recommend a way that would stop these characters from being used in the registration process so that I do not need to alter the information then contact the person to let them know?

Thanks
