I have a rubbish cgi ubb and am moving over to a Windows 2000 server.  Obviously don't wanna run the cgi board on there and will probably stick this beauty on there instead.

Is it possible to convert my member cgi files to webwiz forums member files, or will everyone just have to re-register?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what format your cgi file has but anything is possible, it might be easier to imprt into a 6.x table and the go to 7 when it's out, that way you got the hash scripts from others already made.

Thanks for the swift reply michael.

The cgi files seem pretty bog standard to be honest.  Heres an example.

All this is obviously all on the first line of code and all joined together.  Is that an issue with this WYZIWYZ editor?  The formatting is obviously all over the shop when you paste stuff and like kiddie page when you hit line return.

See it came two lines down...

There is no convertion utility to do what you want as this would require a custom script, which you will have to write yourself.

Though as there are a lot of asp forums out there someone might have it written to convert to a different database e.g. snitz or so, from there it would be much easier to import the data. do a search on google and see what it finds....
