Have uploaded 7.51a to two different sites.

Site 1.  Falls instantly with message

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'CDate'
/forum/default.asp, line 147

Site 2.  Falls when trying to register
/forum/register.asp?FID=0
The page cannot be displayed.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks,
Steve.

Read the forum documentation and search this forum as these questions have been answered.

Also turn off friendly HTTP errors in IE.

I get the following error sometimes when clicking in some of the subsections links within the general index.

Apparently this error is caused by "dangling object references", which are objects that are created but not destroyed at the IIS server when an ASP page finishes execution.  This will eventually result in the inability to create another object of that particular class.

Could anyone help to sort it out?

Your help would be much appreciated.

All objects used in the forum code are released.

This is a strange error you are getting.

What web server, server OS, etc. are you using and forum version??

I am using webwiz hosting... and the installation was already done. I have only changed the include files relevant to changing style (css, skins) and I added a new class for the text in the quick login field box (default .asp).

I have got the following errors too just a while ago.

--------------------------

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0241'

CreateObject Exception

/forum/admin/navigation_menu.asp

The CreateObject of '(null)' caused exception C0000005.

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : c0000005'

/forum/admin/common.asp, line 113

/forum/admin/view_forums.asp

The CreateObject of '(null)' caused exception C0000005.

For this type of thing you should open a support ticket, this is not really the place for this type of thing as I would need personal details to check these problems out for you.
