I'm using version 7.6 and when I (and members) post a reply, we are sendt to "post_message.asp?PN=0" which doesn't show?

Any ideas, guys?

BTW. this only happens if the user has some "Watched" topics

SOunds like a problem with your email component. perhaps you configured a component for WWF that is not present on the server.

I'm using JMail, but people are getting their activation mail fine!?

http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=7389&PN=1 - http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=7389&a mp;PN=1

Something to do with this perhaps!?

Which version of JMail should I use?

The post you mention is completly different to your problem.

Try reuploading the files it maybe a corrupte file.

The file post_message.asp has no HTML content and should save the post to the database beofre redirecting back to the main forum.

Will do so.

But it works sometimes and after I changed the mail (from the other post) to plain text, it seems to work!?

Damn!
Still getting post_message.asp?PN=0 after replying to a post. When I then go back, my post is there!?

So it DOES save my message!?

Sorry to be such a pain about this...

What is the error message you are getting? (Turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE)

It does sound like a problem with the email, try contacting your host and see what settings they require for email and what email components they support.

I work at the host! :)
And we support JMail

I just get "The page cannot be displayed" and the url says post_message.asp?PN=0 or the latest post_message.asp?PN=1

I hit back and the reply is there...

Please read my replies more carefully.

You need to turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE so that you get an error message instead of the generic 'page con not be displayed' then post what the error is.

This will help track down what the problem is.

My money is still on an email problem. Check that you have specified the correct SMTP server in the admin area.

Sorry!

Error says:

 jmail.SMTPMail error '8000ffff'

The message was undeliverable. All servers failed to receive the message

/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 227

My JMail settings are ok btw, cause we use the same IP on other sites. (using this format *.*.*.*:*)

It is an email problem.

The error is thorwn up by JMail when the SMTP server cna't be reached.

Try removing the part from the admin area ':25' from the end of the SMTP server address as this will course problems as you don't need to specify port 25.

-boRg-

I found the error, or my mistake... I think!
I was using an alias mail instead of a real mail account.

So far it's working out...

Sorry to have been such a pain in the butt.
