1. This forum has the navigation bar on the lefthand side. Is there a standard modification to do this that has already been posted? Or is it a matter of recoding the HTML in all of the template pages individually? I looked through old posts and couldn't find one.

I'd like to include a vertical banner ad on the left.

2. Is it easy to change the default number of posts displayed in each forum? I've found my visitors almost never use the drop down menus to view other pages, so I'd like to increase the default to about 25.

I am using version 7.01 with MS Access (haven't seen a reason to upgrade yet).

thanks

[Also, trivial but, is there a reason why you prevent users from registering with hotmail or yahoo domain email addresses on this forum?]

1. Edit the files header.asp and footer.asp in the includes directory, there are a number of posts on this if you get stuck.

2. You can increase the number of posts per page from the Forum Configuration page in the admin area.

You should upgrade to the latest version 7.6, not just for the extra features but also as there are a number of security fixes that older versions are vulnerable to.

Hotmail and Yahoo email addresses are not allowed on this forum as the emails just bounce back.
