borg seems to be soo much inspired by microsoft that he has stated following the foot step of bill gates by releasing new version of forums almost every week..

well lets see.. 3 weeks or so before we had 7.5 alpha, then beta and then recently full and now aproximately after a week or less.. we see 7.7 alpha..

wheww.. thats faster than MS.. or may be borg had a bet with billy boy in beating him in frequency of releases ..

hehe..

well what ever..

keep up the good work..your all efforts are for us... we value u

Micro$oft issues patches and security fixes fast, not software versions with new features!

It takes them several years to come out with a new version!

Windows 2003
Windows XP (2002)
Windows 2000
Windows 98
Windows 95
etc.

Incidentally, frequent releases is one of the absolute best things you can do in the software industry.

Actually, it's a lot more than that. Even if you offer free upgrades, frequent releases does a lot for your brand and marketing power.

I don’t think borg is inspired by microsoft as this code works and works well even on it's pre release, not like most of Microsoft's products at all.

Sometimes you need to release patches to fix bugs that may have been overlooked. If you don’t do this you will loos your customers interest in your software and you will be seen as just cashing in on the moment.

Updates are a must.

like that has been said it is important to release updates to bugs, etc that may have been over looked and patchs but releasing new features (not saying borg does) ... a few days after a release is a bit silly.

i create asp applications i create the betas, and the release candidates and then release the final ie V2.00 and then create the the .xx    .. and i only release when i think i have thought of enougth featues to worrant a release unless they are security fixes then thats almost instant if not the same day the security fix has been completed..
