Hey guys.  I got an access DB with 2,000 records, its on a PC being used by a VB program.  How long will it take to load 2,000 records up?  (record data contains only two long integers, 8bytes total per record).  It will be loading up 2,000 records a lot, so in total ill will be loading around 1,000,000 records in a day.... ohhh errr, is this ok?

Are you loading the records up via query or the whole mdb? It should not take to long for 2000 but in order to get to a MIllion you have 5000 people doing it every day, would not do that via DSL or Cable :)

Its all client side, the database and program are on the same PC, no Internet involved, will it be ok?

Phew.  1,000,000 records at  8 bytes each only comes to 8meg anyway

Thanks
