Subject: SQL problem - limited access to SQL DB

I have been running WWF ( http://www.socweb.co.uk - www.socweb.co.uk ) for around 2 years now and it is great.

Background:  We have now around 65000 posts from 2600 registered users and the Access DB we have been using is now grown to 70mb is size.  We changed hosts around 3 months ago to  http://www.oneandone.co.uk - www.oneandone.co.uk and they are very quick - but the server keeps crashing.  I am assuming we are taking up all our allocated resource

So I took the plunge and as we get a SQL DB with our package, I have installed a new SQL version of the forum (v7.6) .  I hvae run the MSSQL setup script and can set up a blank database with no problems.

However, when I use the oneandone Access Import facility (you put the Access DB into a particular folder and it gets imported automatically) I end up with two copies of each table.

The tables are supposed to be overwritten if they have the same name, but they don't, and when I delete one copy of each table I am left with the blank ones from the set up script.

So I set up the blank wwwfDB again (deleting the whole SQL DB and starting with and empty DB), and then before I import the Access DB, I delete the tables.

However I then get the error messsage

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'tblConfiguration'.

This is really bugging me as I have spent the last week trying to sort it.

help?

Just as an update,

if I go to the web control panel and view the SQL DB, I can run a SQL command. if I run

select tblConfiguration.* from tblConfiguration

then I get the results.

Why doesn't the forum recognise it then?

update number 2.

I modified the setup script - taking out the Table Creation, and default values.

This re sets the indexes etc, but now I get

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'CDate'

/sqlforum$/wwf76/forum/common.asp, line 332

The CDate error is becuase the one and one have their servers located in Germany.

They say that all their servers are set to the UK locale but in practise most of their servers are set to the German locale, try changing the LCID in the common.asp file to the German LCID number.

I changed the locale setting to 1031 which works fine for the Access version Borg.

Still keep getting the Invalid Object name!
