Hello,

This is my first post to this forum and I don't know who is who yet, but I would like to THANK those that have made the the Forum available.

I have started a truck club, http://www.socaps.com - www.socaps.com (Southern California Powerstroke Association), which is a Ford Diesel Truck Club.  I followed the advice of a friend and purchaed UBB.THREADS from Infopop and was all ready to get thinks started when at the last minute I found out that the hosting company that hosts my sites does not offer MySQL, which is needed.  He in return recommended that I check out "Web Wiz".  I have to say that I love the software and have a copy of the UBB.THREADS setting on my hard drive that probably won't get used now

OK, here are my questions:

1) If you check out the site, you will find a "Members Only" link.  I want to make the "Members Only" subweb secured some how.  I tried using the database login off this site and linked it to the forum database so members don't have register twice.  It worked great, but the members were complaining that they has to login twice, once to get into the "Members Only" subweb and again for the Forum.  Is there another way?

2) With the V7 Beta 3 version of the software, there is not a link to go back to the main site, as the 6.34 version does.  I did find an impage in the forum-images folder that says HOME, but can't figure out how to include it in the current top images.  How can it be done.

3) Third and last, for now, I want to eliminate the links and icons in the top of the pages of register and confirm pages.  In other words, I do not want UNREGISTERED people getting to the forum at all.

Thanks in advance,

Bobby Williams

1. The problem in using a subweb is that the cookies cannot be read, it sees it as a different domain. I think there is a way to share them though, do a search on aspin.com or so should find something.

2. You can just include the image with a link manually in the header.asp file. Put it somewhere close to the other images like login etc.

3. How do you want people to sign up if you don't have the register buttons? Is this a closed forum only for special members?? You can just delete the links in the pages, but make no mistake you still need it for someone to enter "allowed" new memebers, can't do it manuall in the db because of the PW encryption.
