I have been using the Access version of this program.  I have built a new server and am trying to run the SQL 2000 version.  I am a novice with SQL, but think I have everything set correctly.

I am to the part in the instructions where I have edited the 'SQL_server_connection.asp' and now need to run the 'msSQL_server_setup.asp' file.  I don't know how to run the 'msSQL_server_setup.asp'.  What am I supposed to do?  It doesn't show the file associated with anything.  I opened it with Notepad, but it appears to be some type of script.

I would appreciate any help you can give me so I can finish setting this up.

Thanks.

just type file name into your browser's address bar after the http://www.mywebsite.com/ - www.mywebsite.com/

it will want a couple bits of info about your server and off you go.

open it up in a web browser after you have ftp'd it to your site.

Enter your SQL server username and password and hit go!

the script sets up the sql server tables, default data, indexes and stored procedures for the forum to work.

Make sure the SQL_server_connection.asp script is completed with your SQL server access details though!

Ok, I got the page up, entered the SQL server account login info, clicked ok, then I got this on a new page:

"Congratulations, the SQL Server Forum database is set up and Ready to Go :)"

I presume everything is cool and my forums are ok to use now?

Now all I need to do is figure out how to convert my existing Access Database forum to this new SQL forum server.
