I've been running your system since version 6.34 and one thing I get a lot of is email from members saying, "I've forgotten my username and password". I've modified the "I've forgtten my password" part of your wonderful engine so it asks them only for their email address. And the mail that gets sent to them shows them both username and password. I realize some may find this too "loose" security-wise. I would advocate this being a feature that can be turned on or off by group as part of group settings.

People wanted this tightened up more and as passwords in version 7 are 160bit one way encrypted it is not possible to resend passwords, so a new password has to be created.

To stop this being abused, as someone could mess around requesting new passwords for people so they can't login the system now asks for the persons username and the email address that they use in the forum. If both are not right a new password is not created.
