one thing that's been bugging me (ever since that Neverending thread thing ) is that the thread's creator can not moderate the thread. It makes since that the creator of the thread should be able to close the topic and modify/delete posts in that thread... just an idea

that would be very dumb to do. people would take advantage of that and it wouldn't make other members happy.

alright, i realize that the edit/delete posts would be stupid to allow... but what about closing your own thread?

Why? If a thread goes beyond where it began, it should be up to the moderator ot close it not the thread creator. If you allowed thread creators to close threads then threads could be closed as soon as someone disagreed with the thread creator.

good to see that someone from the middle east have their own opinions..

i also disagree.. why start a thread just to close it?

I think ou'd find people making outrageous statements then closing the thread. Spammers would have a field day.

I think you misunderstood what you are disagreeing of :)
LJamal was opting against the ability for a starter to close a thread and I agree with him, See it as a centralized newsnet, once you make a post there is jack you can do against other people keeping it alive. The thread is never your property, it is the property of the forum/server owner.
