I went back through the Forum for 2 months and could not find anything on this, so............

I have set up the forum in a folder and uploaded it to the server. It is not accessable to the general public until I am sure that I have everything working properly.

I am using CDOSYS and have no problem sending emails in the Mass Email form. What I am having a problem with is that if I subscribe to a forum or topic and want to be notified by email when someone posts to that forum/topic, I do not get an email.

I am the only one registered on the forum right now, i that makes a difference. I have gone into several of the forums and written a test post but I still do not get an email notification.

I have checked the subscription form and I am subscribed to these.

Have I missed something somewhere?

I don't think it will send you an e-mail notification if you are the one who wrote the post.  It only notifies you only if someone else wrote a post. 

Try creating a second account for testing purposes and then post with that account.  You should receive an e-mail notification to the first account that the second account posted (and vice versa) if you have e-mail notification enabled for that topic.
