Anybody knows how to port forward in Xp advanced setting for default port of webserver 80. When i change the service settings in XP's ICS and ICF it seems not to make a difference the port mappings dont seem to be picked up any one an idea how to this with an internal web server. I searched the internet and alot of people are having the same issue but did not suggest any solutions.
I would be very grateful if someone could let me know how to do this my gateway is an XP machine fully service packed up. All other clients work fine for things like msn messenger, Zone multiplayer games even when hosting games from the clinets behind NAT. Port forwarding the port 80 to my server 2003 does not seem to be working.
Maybe this is to with the fact that all my machines are running IIS is this possible. My host machine is fine i have been able to create incoming VPn connection, FTP, mail ..... succesfully with all almost default settings meaning all my clients get there IP's assigned by the ICS DHCP server, but port forwarding doesn't seem to work.
I hope some has a similar setup working and could tell me what they did to get this port forwarding to work under XP's ICS.
A lot of sites as well the microsoft one explain how to do this. I folowed these instructions to the letter but it seems not to make any difference what so ever. Please help if you know how to do this.
Cheers,
Charlie
