Hi, I was just going to search for a username when I got this errormessage after pressing the search button: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14' ORDER BY items must appear in the select list if SELECT DISTINCT is specified. /forum/search.asp, line 356 I was using this forums search function here on webwiz.net! I wrote "Test49" in the search field, selected "Usernames" from the dropdown menu, chosed "search in All forums" and sort by; "Topic starter date" What's wrong? I tested it out on Invisionportal.com too, and the same happend there. Regards |

Bruce this only happens when you have search in username and sort by topic start date.. with any value its not only in V7.6 its also V7.7alpha |

infact, most of the searching doesnt work correctly. Line 227 in search.asp should read strSQLResultsQuery = "SELECT " & strDbTable & "Topic.Start_date, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Topic_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Forum_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Poll_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.No_of_views, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Subject " instead of strSQLResultsQuery = "SELECT " & strDbTable & "Topic.Topic_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Forum_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Poll_ID, " & strDbTable & "Topic.No_of_views, " & strDbTable & "Topic.Subject " |
