Doesnt option explicit slow down code?  Would it be better to remove it for distribution?

Actually it speeds up the code, see the link above under "Declaring Option Explicit"

Ok, I just thought that it slowed things down because it did more checks or something, I know its good for development, but now I see im wrong.

Maddog, im sure removing it would be the dumbing thing ever.

Firstly, you edited your post, the original read 'dumbing'.  You probably don't even know what that means.

Secondly, 'dumbest' doesnt make sense in the context it was used in.

Thirdly, its pretty funny to read a post of someone (you, AKA MadDog) accusing me to be intelectualy inferior when they dont even know what the words that they type mean.

Fourthly, the question I originally imposed wasn't aggressive.  I simply made a small enquiry, and in return I got from you an insult, and an unconstructive unhelpful comment.

This is becoming a bit of a trend with you Drew.

Yikes. This sounds nasty. Can't we all just agree that nuking the planet would solve all our problems?
