iz there any files which i can edit and get my password back i dont need to reupload filez i will edit my old files n get password back some one will help?????????

Could you explain what you mean by "i dont have get any mail".  One idea would be to edit the admin author entry and ensure it has your Email address ... then do a "reset of password" ... and get it sent to you?

It makes you want to scream:

LET ME IN!

doesn't it.

So it sounds to me that:

1. You are the admin.
2. You forgot your password.
3. The e-mail you gave is invalid so you can't have it reset and e-mailed to you.

Is this correct?

If you have access to the database, do this:

1. Create a new account.  And remember the password this time.
2. Go into the database into the Author's table.
3. Find your new account.
4. Copy the encrypted password of the new account into the password field of the Administrator account.
5. Close the database.
6. Login as Administrator with the new password.
7. Change your e-mail address in your profile to a valid e-mail address.
8. Memorize or write down said password and keep it in a safe location somewhere so this doesn't happen again.

If you have access to your database, change the Email address which is shown to one which does work.  Then request a reset of the Admin account password.

I did exactly this a few day ago on a test site I was playing with. I had so many accounts and had forgotten the admin one.  Changed the admin email addresses, requested it be sent to me, logged in and changed it to what I wanted.

Is your forum setup to send Emails ... and do they work?

Have you tried the other Idea of creating a new Admin account?

on your forum create a new account. suppose you type the passwword xyz. go to the db tblauthor and see the encrypteed password in front of the userid u just created.
then, the encrypted pass = xyz , u know
now copy that encypted pass and replace the pass in the administrator's id

I had problems with this method. I tried all combinations and copied the encrypted pass and salt for the old admin name. Nothing worked.

I then installed a new forum in another folder, logged in to it, then took that name, encrypted pass, and salt, and pasted it into the old forum and it worked right away.

Very odd that it wouldn't accept the old one that way.

Is it possible to add admin to the list?  Not sure how but Administrator isn't even listed in the tblAuthor.
