I upgraded from ver 6.34 to 7.6

I used the app that help you to convert the Db to the new forum ver.

for some reason the new DB does not changed. I done the process many times making sure that I am doing it right.

any clu what is wrong?

what change r u referring too ?

See after upgrade is over, you show see that the passwords r encrypted in tblauthor.

If its encrypted then its done

I wish I had somthing in the new DB.

the convertor app starts, it says that it move info to the new DB, but for some reason the new DB does not change and no imported data is saved there.

I followed the instructions very cerfully, changed DB names as reuested and so on.

I know how it is important to look first for any support on this forum BEFORE posting a question.

I am doing it for the last 2 days trying to find the answer:

How to upgrade from ver6 to ver7.6 - no search results

DB upgrade - no search results

if this issue is coverd somewhere can someone show me the right thred with the solution for my problem?

I found out what was the problem:

this is what you need to do:

1. Rename the files

2. put these files together with the convertor on "C:\temp" - important to put it there.

3. compact the ver6 DB using Access

4. launch the convertor

5. compact the new ver7 DB using Access

6. rename the new ver 7 DB to wwForum.mdb

7. copy this file to your DB folder under the admin folder.
