I use Access for my database with the web wiz forum and was wondering if there is an application (or a simple way) to lift/collect all the email addresses from the database and have them put into some sort of a text document ready for a mass email.

i know web wiz does mass emailing from the admin side and i use this regularly BUT i wish to send my personalised newsletters from Outlook instead.

Thanks in advance to the clever people who can assist me, cheers

Read on the http://www.w3schools.com/asp/asp_ref_filesystem.asp - FileSystemObject and http://www.w3schools.com/ado/ado_ref_stream.asp - Stream Object , either one can write to a text file, just loop thru the recordset and write all the addresses to a file....

Hi fernan82, thanks for your reply but im not as technically trained as id like to be, i checked out those links and they were way above my head.  Is there a simple way the procedure can be explained 'step by step' - will the technique write the addresses to a text file with the right gaps between the addresses for a quick cut n paste ?

Thanks for any help you can offer, cheers

Yhe easiest thing for you might be just to export from the access database directly, just go to file export and choose csv as the destination, from there you can import it wherever you want.

Ok, even easier, open the table in excess right click the column on it's header, select Copy, open a text file right click and select paste, unless you have 10000's of records that should not be a problem
