You database may have become corrupted or is saved in a higher version than you have.

If it has been created with a newer version of Access (for example Xp or 2003) U need to open it with a more recent version and save it into a older format.

U have to ask -boRg- the Access version he has used.

FWIW you can access data created by newer versions of MS Access by creating a new DB in your version and then "linking" to the individual tables in the newer MDB (not tried with 2003).

This is also a useful "trick" to remember with a partially corrupt DB when all else fails.

Hope this helps

The access version is in Access 2000, there is no Access 97 version as Access 97 is no-longer supported by MS's JET drivers and also becomes easily corrupted in a web environment.

Yes, do a compact and repair in microsoft access.

Tools > Database Utilities > Compact and Repair Database

Mart.

It's too much corrupted or uncompleted!
Does it correctly work on your forum?
