i really dont think that sql server comes with windows 98.. maybe msde but then you need something to administer it with.. create a database where you can install your tables and stored procedures, but i dont know of any program to do it with..

if you can install windows 2000 or xp pro, you can install the .net framwork and use http://www.aspenterprisemanager.com/ - this tool to administer your MSDE server.. but it wont work on windows 98 because its written in .net and the .netframwork will not run on windows 98..

There is a tool you can use to administer MSDE databases. It is called DBAMGR2k
http://www.asql.biz/DbaMgr/DownLoad2k.shtm - http://www.asql.biz/DbaMgr/DownLoad2k.shtm

Should help you on Windows 98 as well.. Not really sure though!!

Have a look for MSDE(a free but functional version of MSSQL) on your microsoft office disk if you have it or you can download it for free here: http://www.asp.net/msde/default.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=1 - http://www.asp.net/msde/default.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=1  (that link also has installation instructions)
