Hi Bruce!

I've been trying to login to WWF on both Mozilla 1.5 and Firebird 0.7 without success.

First, I tried to login using my regular Username and Password on both browsers only to get told that I have a cookie problem, even though I have checked and double-checked that cookies are in fact enabled.  I even specifically added this site to be allowed to deposit those little delicacies.  :)

Next, I decided to register as a new user with the Mozilla browser to see if it would work.  Well, it sure seemed to:

 Successful Login

Your login was successful, please wait while you are returned to the Forum

http://forums.webwiz.net/default.asp - Return to the Discussion Forum

... only it didn't return me to the discussion forum.  And when I click the link I am taken to the default page - and no longer logged in - with my username and password in the Quick Login box.  Clicking on the link returns me to the Successful Login page, with the same results.  Hmmmm..!

I originally came to the forum with the Mozilla browsers to test the color picker box to see if the same error would occur that does in my 7.6 Access forum, which is that the color chart is all black when it pops up (though I can move through it blindly and see which color I'm on).

Ideas?

Jim

I use Mozilla as my default browser and am using it now and have no problems login in.

The forum is test more in Mozilla than any other browser as it is my default web browser.

The following versions of Mozilla are tested:-

Mozilla SeaMonkey 1.5
Mozilla Firebird 0.6
Mozilla Firebird 0.7

Also the colour picker should work in Mozilla as I designed it in Mozilla.

Actully a quick look did find a problem in 7.7 alpha on this site, I was testing a new way of writing cookies becuase of issues with IE getting corrupted cookies.

I have fixed it so it should work fine in Mozilla now.

Hahaha!  And I thought I did something to get myself in with both browsers just now!!    I figured, what the heck, let me remove all stored cookies ... and then it worked ... which seemed very strange!  So, I'm glad you found something, because it would have set my understanding of cookie handling back to Kindergarten!!  :)  Now, I'll have to go find out why my color picker is not showing up with Mozilla on my forum.

Thanks, Jim

By the way, I've been using Firebird quite a bit, and Mozilla 1.5, too.  They are becoming my favorites over IE (and MYIE2).  Also started using Mozilla Thunderbird for a couple of my email accounts and will probably make the switch from Outlook very shortly.
