Subject: Collation on tblAuthor::User_Code?

Hi,
I want to link several aspects of my site that require a login to the login for the forum, so that users only have to log in once to use all the features.
I'm using the User_Code column for this as this is stored in the cookie. But when I do a normal equal operation it comes up with a collation error. I fixed this by converting the collation for both columns (User_Code from the forum and from my table), but this seems to slow down the query dramatically.
Could anyone tell me the collation for User_Code so that I can adjust the collation in my table accordingly?

Thanks in advance.

I dont understand your problem ?

you want multiple items of your site to require a log in, the same log in that the forum requires ? right ?

is that what you are saying ?

Yeah, but that's besides the point.
What I want is simply to know the collation used for the column User_Code in the table tblAuthor.

WHats the current default collation for your SQL Server?

Mine was Case Sensitive and I ended up rebulding my whole SQL Server to overcome your sort of problem .....

wwf does not set a collation so it is whatever your default collation is.
