I just came up with another idea. How about a Multi-Language Forum, were each user can choose their language in the  registration process. This may seem a little far out but i think it is acheivable. The languages could be based on the Authors ID. The main languages could be chosen e.g) German, French, English, Chinese, Japanese.

That has been done as a mod before, don't know if it is still valid for this forum version. Personally I don't like a multi-lingual forum because if everyone writes in their language you could only read 1/5th of the post, and they will write in i.e. japanese if they see the forum itself being in japanese. Nevertheless, check the Mods forum...

I don't see the need for a multi lingual forum. If they need anything in another language how are they going to understand the posts? They may like to have it in another language, but if your site is good enough they will stay regardless.
