If you click on the forum codes link at the bottom of the post box it will give you the forum code for inserting flash into your posts. An example can be seen below:-

[FLASH WIDTH=50 HEIGHT=50]http://www.myWeb.com/flash.swf[/FLASH]

I was using a sample of the url that I am really using, here is the real path no difference except the name and if you were to cut and past the http://www.menus2go.com/banner2.swf - http://www.menus2go.com/banner2.swf  it will work. But for the sig code below it does not.

[FLASH WIDTH=500 HEIGHT=100]http://www.menus2go.com/banner2.swf[/FLASH]

This feature is only available on v7 and must be enabled on the admin section first.

Also it is not enabled on this board for security reasons so it won't work here.

Is it possible to add flash that automatically sizes itself to the dimensions of the flash file?? It's kinda annoying having to check the dimensions of the file and specify them...

The problem with Flash if you don't give a size it will automactically resize to around 5 by 5 pixels, browsers can't automactically size a flash file.

I'm also having issues with flash, the code just puts a small white square that doesn't do anything, and the swf link is valid.

This topic is from over 2 years ago and allot has changed since then (hence the forum rule not to bring up old topics).

Probably best starting a new topic with more detail, such as:#

Web Wiz Forums version?
Database version?
What forum code are you entering to insert flash files?
Have you enabled support for Flash from the Web Wiz Forums admin area?
