I am running 7.6 on 2000 using ASPUpload.

ASP work fine stand alone.

I get the following error trying to upload avatar.

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c2'

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'fileUpload'

/upload_avatars.asp, line 154

Any ideas?

Thanks

No - Persits AspUpload and yes it works fine.

What doesn't work is the code to upload Avatar.  That is what is erroring.

Could be a corrupted file, try reuploading the files again.

Hi boRg-

I replaced the 3 upload files and the language file form the 7.6 zip.

I get this error after the "Please be patient"

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c2'

Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'fileUpload'

/upload_avatars.asp, line 154

This is line 154 from the file

strImageName = fileUpload(strFileUploadPath, saryFileUploadTypes, intMaxFileSize, strUploadComponent, lngErrorFileSize, blnExtensionOK, strUserFolderName)

Thanks

Hi,

I get the same error when i try to upload either an avatar or a file. I tried to reupload all the files as you said, but that did not work for me.

What's else could be the problem (what does that error mean)?

thanks

The error menas that the correct number of items to the upload function are not being passed.

The error could be coursed by:-
  • You are using files from different versions - make sure that all files uploaded are part of the same version
  • You are using a mod that isn't compatible with the version you are using - remove the mod and replace with original files
  • A file is corrupted - redownload forum zip and upload files to your site
