I had something similar show up after I re-installed iis on a machine with the framework installed. Had to re-register the framework. Forget the exact command, but search forums at the link MorningZ gave you. I got it there.

I think the command is:

Aspnet_regiis.exe -i

this exe can be found in the Famework directory:

systemroot\Microsoft.NET\Framework\versionNumber

or lookup:

ASP.NET IIS Registration Tool (Aspnet_regiis.exe)

in help.

hi

I hate to say it but i am no better off than when i started here....i still dont know what the problem is...i am NEW to .net so shortcut replies just go whoooosh over the head...i have used the Aspnet_regiis.exe on both recommendations but it has done nothing...when i restart my system and attempt to build and browse i get a blank page...the second time i do it i get some html and the third i get the long winded speel i posted at the top.

Can u tell me what is actually wrong here and what should i do...sorry for being such a dunce about this..

You have to run the registration program ( aspnet_regiis /i )from DOS prompt in the .net dir.

.net dir is usually (XP Pro)...

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322

Also make sure aspnet user is set up properly per install instructions.
