Can anyone tell me what the database field salt is in WebWiz Forum version 7 beta 3? I am trying to get to know the fields but am stumped as to what this field is for. Thanks... JL |

| It is used for the encryption of the password. The salt value together with the encrypted password are needed to compare the clear text string passed when logging in. |
