The only one that never crashes when sending thousands of email is CDONTS. All others will most always fail, usually the server fails to receive the email after several thousands... ------------- FeRnAN http://www.danasoft.com/">

i think this is a server problem.. i had the same problem with my site.. it took over 24 hours before i got the emails.. and their servers SUCKS! i think its one of the worst hosts in the whole world.. but its one of the best in norway but as i said, i think its a server problem.. check with your host if they have a solution on your problem..
<<<<Edit>>>> you could also try CDOSYS if your server have that component installed.. its installed by default on win2k3 and maybe win2k too.. but im not sure.. i think CDOSYS is a better component than CDONTS.. but im not really sure on that either.. |

I'm a fan of Persits ASPemail because it offers a lot of functionality that others don't. I don't send out thousands of emails with components. I use software specifically designed for that. So I don't know about the stability issue there. I've used Persits ASPemail with Mercury32 in the past and NEVER had a single problem - 100% reliable - but not for thousands of emails as I mentioned. I have MORE problems with sendmail... go figure that one...

I use CDOSYS because its the most common no days. CDOSYS is replacing CDONTS. CDOSYS has been around for a while now and in Windows 2003 CDONTS is completly gone and CDOSYS replaces it. Plus CDOSYS its a better email component than CDONTS. ------------- http://www.iportalx.net" rel="nofollow">
