When users upload images, I notice a unique salt(?) code is generated as a prefix.  It would be helpful if maybe images could contain a timestamp prefix so the sysop/admin knows which images to delete when the associated post 'expires' from the database.

Hope that makes sense...

  John

BTW, love the WWForums - most troublefree & best supported software I've added to my site to date

Can't you just use the date property of the image-files?

I was doing that for awhile, but I've had issues when backing up & restoring to my ISP as the datestamps sometimes change due to use of FTP.

It's not a huge issue, I've started doing the rename-by-time 'mod' for myself as it is.  I just think it would make a great addition to WWF - especially if the out-of-date files were moved to a safety 'delete-me' directory when the msg expired.   Just another way to keep things clean.

Take care.

Just a general comment...

This is a pretty esoteric request and the fact that borg is "looking into it" suggests that WWF is a VERY mature piece of software.

Hats off to borg.

Cheers
