Hello,

We are hosting a discussion board that will limited our audience to people residing in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. Is there an easy way that one can reverse the IP blocking featutre in versions 7.6?  Since we want to only allow three countries we would rather specify the range of IP's that we would like to ALLOW and have the software block all other IPs. By doing it this way we would have a much smaller list of IP ranges to list and manage. Anyone have ideas?

The simplest solution would be to write a peice of code in the common.asp file that detects the users IP and if it doesn't match the allowe ones send them to another page.

We are thinking of just finding a good source that has all of the country specific IP ranges and entering them in. Anyone know of a good place that has IP ranges based by country?

Is there another way to input the ranges of the ips other then the Wildcard?   The list given at http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/ - http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/ gives many hit and miss ranges of IPs that I want to block.
Basically I want to be able to copy and paste the information thats given at the above address. I don't think the Forum ASP code would recognize inputs in the form of "39.65.22.33 - 39.65.22.77"  or "39652233 - 39652277".  I am simply trying to figure the best way to block the entire  world from my discussion board aceept only three contries.  Any ideas?

Why not reverse your logic ... and only allow from a group of IP Addresses
