Hi,

I'm running W2K and cannot seem to configure Explorer NOT to display the Folders pane on the left of Explorer.

Sure, I can close the Folders pain, but when I launch Explorer again, the damn pain (in the arse!!!) is there again.

Is there any way to get around this ???

Thx

Just open Windows explorer with the n switch like explorer /n
You can even change that in the registry so it defaults when accessing it through the start menu.

Here some other things you can do

Although Explorer /n does the trick, what changes are required (in the registry) so that when I right click on Start and select Explore, it will open in the same format as with the '/e' ???

Tools | Folder Options | File Types | Folders | make open the default value.
