pentium 4 ht processor based system needs lot of cooling..any one got idea on how to keep the case internal temp and cpu temp low...

no sugesstion of using lots of fans..im thinking of a more quiet and easy system..i know liquid based cooling can achive this but i dont prefer that either..hope there r other solutions beside those two

beside readin made liquid cooling systems r quite expensive ..roughly starting from $200 USD where as i can make one myself at home for around $50 or less..

Are you using the heatsink that came with the HT CPU? Weve found these to easily handle the cooling needs of a non overclocked HT cpu.

We also build Laptops with the HT CPU's with our most high end system going out with a 3.2 HT and 128MB radeon 9600Pro and do not have any cooling problems at all using a small laptop fan.

i want one of those liquid nitrogen... then you can seriously overclock a cpu... (P1 running at 3.0ghz )

yeah im using the intel supplied heat sink offcourse but u have to take care that CPU heats up when  there is load on it like encoding long video clips and stuff.. cpu temps r considerably low when pc is idle...

i see cpu temps hitting 55C when encoding a 20min video clip from DivX to windows media format using windows media encoder..

if u have quite many fans in ur case that ur case sounds like a hover craft. then u will offcourse not have heating problems.. i want quiet computing to i just have one 80mm extra fan in the case plus the default fan of power supply..

here is a small tip which works for me.. a flexible rubber/plastic duct whose one side is attaced to the cpu fan air inlet and other end leads outside the case.. his enables the fan to take air directly of ur room ambient temp rather than circulating the same warm in the case..this worked for me enough that i dont need another solution but downside that i had to rip a hole in a case..probably i would hook another 80mm fan at the opening of the duct outside the case and attach a dust filter on it to aviod dust accumulation..

ohh and i am not over clocking
