Hey guys. Does anyone know what the default HTTP mime type is. I think its application/octet-stream but im not 100%. If your not sure what im rabbiting on about I mean what mime type would be specified for a random file type (like 'default.hello') for example.

Thanks, Mart.

I mean if the client is requesting a file that is unknown to the server... Like if requesting an ASP file on a non ASP compatible server, what mime type does it specify?

if a server doesn't know how to process it send the asp file in raw text... and since your computer doesn't know how to display them it give you a download box for and ASP file...
