Problem: after viewing a PM and having gone there via email notification, when I click on the forum name (attempting to get to the default.asp page) I get page cannot be displayed.  This does not happen if I visted the PM area by first having gone to default.asp. And under both conditions I am logged in so that is not the problem.

Any ideas?

I found the problem but I do not know how to correct it.

The url should be: http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum/default.asp - http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum/default.asp

but on return from the pm the url address is given as:

http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum/default.asp - http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum /default.asp

The Folder CoyoteTracks is duplicated in the return address.

How would I go about repairing that?

Nev

Check your settings in the admin section relating to the path to the forum.

the setting in forum configuration is as follows

http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum/ - http://216.198.238.67/CoyoteTracks/Oracle/forum/

This is correct.  Where else might there be a setting?

That is the only setting, double check it as this is where you problem is, either that or a corrupted file, try reuploading files again.

I re-uploaded:

pm_inbox.asp

and that corrected the problem..I guess there is a lesson in this. Files do get corrupted on upload..so that maybe is the first place that should be checked in looking at a problem.

Thanks for the help

Thats why it is listed as the most common error in the common errors documentation that comes with the forum.
