Sorry no, it would be very hard to intergarte into that version.

For better security, performance, and features you should upgrade to the latest version.

I'm looking at upgrading to the latest version, is there a step by step guide for the upgrade?

You simply replace the old forum with the new forum.

To migrate the posts across there is a migration tool on the forum download page that will move your posts and members across to the new forum.
