Can some help me out here i have redesigned the header.asp file

Looking at my site you will see top left (Welcome to Xcent-UK ( http://www.xcent.co.uk/forum/login_user.asp?FID=0 - Log In | http://www.xcent.co.uk/forum/log_off_user.asp - Log Out | Register )

What i need to know is instead of having the log in | log out showing i just want to show the login then when the member as logged in change to log out automaticaly any ideas how to do this im totaly new at asp.

if lngloggedinuserid <> 0 then response.write "log out" else response.write "login"

No ... you need to allow for the "guest" user who is assigned a "intloggedinuserid" of 2

eg do a:

response.write "login:" & lngloggedinuserid

and you will find it is 2 when not logged in

oh.. yeah, saw that now.. i knew it was 2 but in common.asp it started with 0.. then it was set to 2 later..

sorry for that, but now its ok..
