Hi there, sorry to be such a pain today, but am not having an easy time with my installation!

Have installed the system OK, and logged in as Administrator (pwd letmein). But when I click on the ADMIN icon it takes me to the 'insufficient_permission.asp page, so I cannot get any administration access to the forum!

Any ideas?

Sounds like a corrupted file, try reuploading, also check your browser is accepting cookies, IE suffers froma  few cookie bugs so a better browser like Mozilla may solve your problem, or resetting the cookie index in IE.

No - I've reinstalled all the files. And tried logging on from about 10 different computers. And tried resetting the cookie index. There is no problem with cookies that I can see. This is driving me NUTS!

"Sorry, only members with sufficient permission can access this page".

Go check it yourself:

I have done absolutely nothing to the system since installing it, since I cannot get at the admin functions to do so. So that is it in its raw state...

What, within the system, might be causing this? Is it a case that I need to go into one of the db tables and change a value there (i.e. the permissions setting for administrator, or whatever?)

Would really really appreciate any help you might be able to offer!

i had a look ... it seems ok outside the admin area... have you changed anything ....

one thing it might be is the name for the cookies is not correct in the admin folder .. open the common.asp file in the admin folder and check to see what value is set for cookie name it is ussually set to WWF by default ..

also check the main forum one ..... in the common.asp

I had a look and found that you have changed the prefix for the cookies to BWWF in the admin common.asp file but not in the main common.asp file.

Make sure the cookie prefix is the same in both.

Failing that I was able to login to the admin area directly through the following link:-
