I installed the forum on my computer, and everything runs smoothly except one problem. I can change the group permission on adminstrator panel, and it does change the record in DB. However, it seems like the changes don't have impact on the real permission of the user. For instance, I only make administrator be able to initiate a vote, but actually even newbie can do it. Anybody can show me how to modify the codes? Thanks a lot!!!

If this is the case then you don't have your forums correctly setup.

Check both the default permissions and group permissions for your forums.
