I think this is a good idea. I remember one of webwiz members had done a same work . I appreciate that jobbut I think it was not enough.
Here is my suggestion for mass PM if there is going to be one in next ver.
(All the options shold be just for admins)
option to send PM to a group
option to send PM to selected groups
option to send PM to all group
option to send PM to moderators
option to select sending PM to active users only or all users
option to select sending PM to members whit N posts
option to select sending PM to users who had post since last N day
option to select sending PM to suspended users or not
