I get an error 80004005 when i try and run the site news preview script. The error reads "Could not use "; file already in use." The freaky thing about this is that it worked fine yesterday. Today, i made some modifications to the password protection of the site, NT auth was giving some people problems. I've tried restarting IIS i even went as far as to reboot my primary production server... no eval. Anyone have any ideas?

if anybody would like to know... i used the web wiz guide password protection code but just removed the database part of it and hardcoded the user and pass.

Are you getting the error going to the check_user page, or on the redirect out of there?

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

the check_user page redirects to the authorized user page and the authorized user page redirects to my home page

so...

check_user -> authorized user -> home page
