I have just downloadet and installed this forum on my website. It seems greate.
I just have one problem. In denmark we have som special letters, whitch when is written in a post wont show up for others to read, nor in the databse it self.

I assume that it is because this forum uses a different charater set and how do i chage that. and to what.
When i program html pages i use iso-8859-1 but i'm not into all this ASP coding, so if anyone could help me on the way I would be greatfull.

Kind regards
Jacky

Go to forum/includes and edit the file browser_page_encoding_inc.asp

The default settings is

Const strPageEncoding = "iso-8859-1"

If you want to change encoding, comment this line (put ' at the beginning of the line) and choose different encoding by uncommenting the chosen line.

Or if your character set is not on the list, you can just change the "iso-8859-1" to wanted character set, of course without commenting the line.

Hey Mantey.

Tanks for your help.
It works now. The stradge part is that normaly iso-8859-1 shows the danish letters, but just not in this case, so i changed it to UTF-8 and now it works.

Thanks again.

Jacky
