Is there a way with the protected web site login that you can find out when users logged in or how many times they have logged in?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If you need any more info just let me know.

Well everytime a user successfully logs into the Web site you could write code to log that even into a table.

Or you could use a free tracker like this (although it won't record the usernames):

Your server log files could contain some of this information. I have a system that log every visit to LongBox.com to a database and stores information passed in the querystring and the post requests along with IP address and browser information. It assigns a unique ID to the user and a unique ID to the session, so I can track users. I use it mainly for debugging purposes and to keep site download and image crawlers from abusing the site. The database gets quite large so I back it up once a month and remove all the data.
