Question re Suspend New Registration and API

Hi

I have a forum that is only accessable by subscribed members to my website. The subscription to the forum is integrated into the website membership subscription process automatically.

So here's my question...if I activate the "Suspend New Registrations" option within the Admin panel, will that achieve my intended aim of simply stopping anyone from registering directly within the Forum, or will it also stop the API within my website from subscribing new members to the forum?

I hope that makes sense.

Suspending the new registrations in your forums admin area will prevent people signing up through the forum, but still allow any of the API's to work for adding new members.
