One question for those that are more knowledgeable than i am in these things;

how difficult would be to make an include file that would contain all forum activities (from calendar)  for today.  I would then include this in our "forum sidebar" that is displayed on all forum pages.

I looked at the calendar.asp page and i saw there are includes that aren't on other pages and that's the reason i'm not confident enough to try it myself (i'm afraid to screw something)

For our forum needs, we would really benefit from emphasizing current activities and calendar view is not something many of our members do visit regularly unfortunately.

Thanks !

You needn't worry about the  include files in the event code, they are there to make the calendar view work. Basically for what you require you just need to write a small SQL query that asks the database if there are any records in the calendar table with the same start date as today and display the information. You could then include this file and hey presto todays events are listed.

Thank you for your answer.
I took a look at the code again and as you said it should be possible to make a simple include for the purpose.

Thanks !

Your welcome, when your done it'd be great if you could post the work that you've done so that others might benefit from your modification.
