If a MySQL database exist in www.e1326.info. Can I connect to that database using my home server forums.

sql server host: sql2.e1326.info
user name: e1326_1041122
password:**********
tablename: e1326_1041122_ForumsDatabase

I config my database connection like this,

strSQLServerName = "sql2.e1326.info" 'Holds the name of the SQL Server (This is the name/location or IP address of the SQL Server)
strSQLDBUserName = "e1326_1041122" 'Holds the user name (for SQL Server Authentication)
strSQLDBPassword = "**********" 'Holds the password (for SQL Server Authentication)
strSQLDBName = "e1326_1041122_GameDatabase"

I Try But It Show:
When I Run http://127.0.0.1/webwizforums/mySQL_server_setup.asp
Error Connecting to database on mySQL Server
Check the following is set up and correct:-
mySQL Server User Name
mySQL Server Password
Name of the mySQL Server
Database name set up by you on the server
Empty Database set up by you on the mySQL Server
Check also that you have entered the correct details in the file 'database_connection.asp' found in the 'database' directory.
Detailed Error Message:
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'sql2.e1326.info' (10060)
Error Details:

am not sure how relavent it is but you mentioned to different database names
e1326_1041122_ForumsDatabase
and
e1326_1041122_GameDatabase
if you cannot connect to the database and the details are correct i would either upload the forum to the website or contact your host.

Contact your hosting company, they may block remote connections to the mySQL database.

ok borg, can u tell me which free hosting site give mysql or mssql remote access.
actually if i upload wwf files in asp hosting site like asp for free, then they not have sql support. and another php hosting give me MySQL & MSSQL Support. is it possible to connect throw database that located in php (linux) server. and asp file uploaded in asp4free.com or another free host. and windows hosting give me 25mb or 5mb. so, it is better if it possible to upload avater, image & files in another server (that php linux), that have ftp access with my username & password.

Connecting to a database hosted by a different web host is also not recommended as there would be a lengthy network lag time, giving allot of timeout errors and a slow performing forum.
