How about "Steve, your hosting is too expensive for me, but it works for all of your clients so i will just shut my trap..."

Like I said before, most of the clients are business (some very large companies) and yes, they do.

Don't I wish! As I said before, I am a reseller and earn only a commission. It's not terrible money, but I'm nowhere near loaded. It's a side job and it's a nice little bit of extra each month.
If I were to start my own hosting company, I could be bringing in more money, but the cost involved to start a proper one and the time to maintain it is more than I have. This is a good situation for now.
