scrolling signatures? but only some browsers...

Can someone take a look at the following link and perhaps advise as to why some folks see these signatures scroll up and down, and some see the entire sig with no scroll?

Also a fellow says that he can't follow links embedded in messages and can't see the "Preview Post" any more, but can navigate the forum.......

Not that it's a show stopper, but some of us wonder.
IE6 - no sig scroll
IE7, scroll
Firefox 2.x scroll in signature.

Appreciate someone looking and letting me know - is it just a browser thing since there are no standards any more?

That is because IE6 does not support the "max-height" css tag.

It is the same reason why Avatars are fixed size. Originally V8 had avatars that would keep their aspect ratio, so for example a 400x200 image could be reduced to 100x50 rather than fixed at 100x100.


There are web standards, its just Microsoft tend to ignore them. For web standards see www.w3.org

I wondered.
One fellow said "I never used to see the scroll with my signature, it used to show the whole thing, but now the last few days it scrolls"
Any reason that could happen? He swears he's made no browser changes.

BTW - love the bazooka kitty - any larger shots of that little feller?

Either the sig's never went over the size limit, or windows updated his IE from 6 to 7...... or hes lying.

Oops, sorry.
on this notebook screen, well, looks different and I know my cats behave that way.

He upgraded his browser and says it's working as before, however, I know that sigs scroll with IE7 as I've got it on 3 computers, so I'm not sure what's going on, but he's happy now.
