Hi! I’m new to this and I'm looking for help on optimising my website to get it higher up in the search engines. Has anyone got any tips? My site is http://www.doubleglazingontheweb.co.uk so i was thinking of trying to link it to sites on homes, gardening to find people interested in getting replacement windows, doors or a conservatory that they can order online. Does anyone know a low cost way to do this? Are directories and web rings a good idea?

Your meta tags look fine, what I also would do is try and repeat as many of the words in your meta keywords as possible within the body of the page in paragraphs.

You should also find sites and directories on similar subject and get them to link to your site, this will increase your sites Google PR rating and also help search engines find your site faster when they index it.

I did all of these on the site www.bslhire.com last year and got it listed on Google within a month and a PR rating of 7 within a year.
